We enjoyed Symposium on Advanced Computing Systems and Infrastructures 2012 (SACSIS 2012), held in Kobe (i.e., the city of Kei Supercomputer), 16th-18th, May 2012. Takahiro Hirofuchi presented the latest development of Yabusame (Postcopy Migration for Qemu/KVM) in the poster session. In this preliminary work, we discussed performance advantages enabled by supporting asynchronous page fault. In addition, a Ph.D. student working with us presented a VM packing algorithm that supports server consolidation using postcopy live migration.
